I remember it was the hottest day of the year, over 100 degrees outside and as I was heading to work, my car sputtered and eventually came to a complete stop. This was on the highway, no less. I had been having car troubles for months, but with two kids and college debt to pay off, I did not have any extra funds to fix it.
